Best Time to Visit Costa Rica
Costa Rica has a number of micro-climates, so it depends on where you are. Generally speaking, there are two seasons. The dry season is from mid-December to April and the wet season is from May to November, also known as the green season due to the outstanding lush foliage. Naturally, the dry season is when prices are at the highest. However, it is the period when there is plenty of sunshine, good for exploring the national parks and spending time on the beach. In June and July, the rain showers are brief and everything is lush. The dry season is best for viewing wildlife including tropical birds and sea turtles. If visiting a rainforest, there will be high temperatures and humidity year-round.
